About the Membership Assistance Program

The ABOS Membership Assistance Program (MAP) is designed to provide financial support
to ABOS Members experiencing unexpected personal hardships or challenging life circumstances.
These situations may include a medical crisis, house fire, job loss, or other
unforeseen emergencies that create financial difficulties.

Through the MAP Fund, Members may apply for financial assistance in the form of a grant
to help cover essential living expenses, including but not limited to housing,
groceries, medical bills, childcare, and other critical needs.

No grant award is intended for conference expense.

Currently, we are in the final leg of the funding development stage of this initiative, and are working to
establish a solid fund balance of $10,000 prior to opening the application process.

Help us meet our goal of raising $10,000 by the end of 2026

in order to meet our target timeline for accepting applications in January 2027.
